Family Tree and Research Pricing

The final pricing for your family tree depends on the scope of your project.

Nothing is AI-generated. All names, connections, and generations are placed by hand to maintain aesthetic and typographic balance. Each tree reflects the family structure and details you provide, entered exactly as given. If you'd like names or dates checked against historical records, see Genealogy Gap Research below.

There are two pricing paths, depending on the structure of your tree: a Direct Line Tree, which follows parental lines only, and a Custom Tree, which can include extended family. Either path can be adapted to your chosen design in the gallery.

Direct Line Family Tree

Direct Line pricing applies to trees that begin with the youngest generation and extend upward through direct ancestors only.

  • The youngest (starting) generation forms the base of the bracket or waterfall layout, or the center of the ring layout. This first generation can be one person or a sibling group.

  • If your tree includes siblings, cousins, aunts/uncles, or multiple descendant branches, it falls under Custom Tree pricing. The same is true if your tree starts from the oldest generation rather than the youngest.

Direct Line Family Tree pricing by generation count, from $215 for 3-4 generations up to $560 for 8 generations, parental lines only
Custom Family Tree pricing chart: $200 base design fee plus per-person rate, $10 each for the first 30 people, $8 each for the next 35, $6 each for 76 or more.

Custom Family Tree

Custom pricing applies to any tree that goes beyond the Direct Line structure: trees that include siblings, cousins, aunts/uncles, multiple descendant branches, or a layout that doesn't follow the youngest-at-center/start orientation.

Custom pricing is calculated as a base design fee plus a per-person rate. The base design fee covers the design framework, file setup, and layout planning required before individual names are placed.
