If I order a tree print to frame myself, what size frames do you accommodate?
Designs are set up to fit 11x14, 16x16, or 16x20 standard frames. However, if you prefer a different size, we can agree on this during your consultation.
What if my family is non-traditional or contains divorces/multiple marriages/adoptions/half-siblings, etc.?
We can discuss these details during your consultation! Since each case is unique and each family may choose to showcase themselves differently, I am happy to help you display your family exactly as you want.
My "fill-in-the-gap" research will adhere to standard genealogical records and relationships.
What is the process and how long does the process take?
Each project is unique, so the timing will vary. Here are some estimates:
I’ve committed to responding to requests for consultation within one business day. This response will be via email from wendy@adamsgenealogystudio.com.
After our consultation, I’ll provide you with a Google Form within one business day, which you will complete to finalize your decisions.
Upon receipt of the Google form, I’ll provide you with a proposal detailing our agreement and costs within three business days.
Upon receipt of your approval, I’ll provide an invoice for the project deposit within two business days.
Upon receipt of your deposit, I will begin work.
For projects that do not require research, I intend to share the first draft of the artwork within a week, depending on the complexity. If the project requires additional time, I will provide regular status updates on progress during artwork development.
I will share PDF proofs of your project draft for your approval and each revision until you are happy with your project.
Once you are happy with your PDF tree proof, you will sign off via PDF signature.
I will send an invoice for the balance of the project within two business days.
Delivery estimates after the final tree artwork is approved and the balance of the final payment is received:
I will send your digital file (PDF, etc.) within three business days after payment of the balance.
Production of physical prints will begin within five business days.
The standard turnaround from my frame vendor is about two weeks.
Products will be shipped via USPS, FedEx, or UPS (I will price the best costs and update here accordingly).
Customers in the Cincinnati area also have the option of an in-person handoff.
Can I purchase research only, without buying tree artwork?
Yes! You can purchase a family research project without a family tree. The rate structure will be the same as the “Fill in the Gap” research. We’ll discuss the project scope in your consultation.
Can I request a background that is different from the standard designs in the gallery?
Absolutely! All backgrounds in the design gallery are included in the standard tree design fees. I can create a custom background for you if you'd like something completely unique. I offer two options:
Shared Design: I’ll create a custom background that meets your vision, which may later be added to our gallery for others to select.
Exclusive Design: Your background will be created exclusively for you and remain private – it will never be shared with other clients. This premium option ensures your design stays unique to your family and is priced accordingly.
Custom background pricing varies based on complexity. We can discuss your vision and pricing during your consultation.
